PASTOR DAVE'S MIDWEEK THOUGHTS

Let us march into summer with Jesus!  Thankfully summer is upon us, and we look forward to fun times with family and friends.  Picnics, trips to the beach, get togethers, and meals are always so much fun during the warm times of the summer months. Many of you will also be headed out for vacations during this time.

It is easy when having fun to neglect our spiritual lives.  Make sure to always keep Jesus first even during the summer months.  God is always watching over us seeking to give us an abundant life.  Jesus said, "I have come that you might have life and have it more abundantly."  The Old Testament says, "He who keeps Israel neither sleeps or slumbers."  The Lord always has our best interests at heart.  Make sure to maintain your daily quiet time and attend worship services as much as possible.  God loves us more than we will ever realize so it is good to stay close to Him.

May the Lord bless your summer as you serve Him and enjoy the summer months!  In two months, I will be completing two years of service as your Pastor.  I feel I am right in the middle of the will of God and look forward to the exciting times just around the corner.  Our Annual Conference will be June 9-11 and we are looking forward to this time with other pastors and their wives.  Please keep us in prayer as we keep you in prayer.

Love in Christ. Pastor Dave

MORE INFORMATION ON OUR WORSHIP SERVICE TAB

If you attend our service in person and wish to continue to wear masks, that is fine.  We encourage everyone to continue to practice handwashing and other actions we have all become accustomed to.  Our church will follow all of the cleaning practices that will keep our family safe.

We will continue to have Pastor Dave's messages on our website on the Worship Services tab.  We hope those who have viewed the messages on the website have been blessed.  Some of you prefer to stay away from crowds, others are homebound.  We want to meet the needs of those, for whatever reason, who prefer to watch the message on-line.  Some attend in person and also want to watch again on-line, which is wonderful.  We are grateful for the technology that provides this opportunity.

We thank those who have sent us your kind words and encouragement.

From Chris Folmsbee's The Wesley Prayer Challenge "The church does not have a mission; the mission has a Church."

We continue to respect and desire to follow John Wesley's three guiding principles ) Do No Harm, 2) Do Good, and 3) Attending upon all the ordinances of God simply put “Stay in Love with God."

Wesley's Covenant Prayer:  I am no longer my own, but thine.  Put me to what thou wilt, rank me with whom thou wilt.  Put me to doing, put me to suffering.  Let me be employed by thee or laid aside for thee, exalted for thee or brought low for thee.

Let me be full, let me be empty.  Let me have all things, let me have nothing.  I freely and heartily yield all things to thy pleasure and disposal.  And now, O glorious and blessed God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, thou art mine, and I am thine.  So be it.  And the covenant which I have made on earth, let it be ratified in heaven.  Amen.

WELCOMING YOU HOME

2 Chronicles 20:12 "For we have not power to face this vast army that is attacking us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are upon you."

2 Chronicles 7:14 "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

This is a difficult time for all of us.  Between COVID-19 and all the things happening in our world, many are very confused, scared, and feeling very lonely.  For our current members and those that attend regularly, getting back together is a comfort and blessing. If at this point you are not comfortable attending, we hope Pastor Dave's message on our website will be an encouragement. For those who are just learning about us, we hope you find helpful information on this website. Take a little time to get to know us. Call us if you have questions or if you need someone to pray with.
