PASTOR DAVE'S MIDWEEK THOUGHTS

As we head toward the Thanksgiving holiday, we are provided with an opportunity to give to the Lord a hearty thanksgiving for all He has done for us!  We have all lived through the last year and a half not knowing what would happen.  We did not know the future, but we know the one who held the future!  If you are reading this, God by His grace has sustained your life and given you a new opportunity to meet this day with a heart of Thanksgiving!  Jeremiah said, "His mercies are new every morning."

As you enjoy your time with family on Thanksgiving Day, I encourage each of you to share something you are thankful for.  I am reminded of the old hymn, "Count your blessings."  It says, "Count your blessings, name them one by one.  Count your many blessings see what God has done."  All of us have so many things to be grateful for.

During this holiday season as we head towards Christmas, let's all try to maintain, "an attitude of gratitude!"  We have all been so richly blessed.  You are all in my prayers.

Love in Christ. Pastor Dave

MORE INFORMATION ON OUR WORSHIP SERVICE TAB

Praise God!  The CDC has updated their requirements.  Our church will continue to follow the CDC guidelines.  The CDC has now stated that masks are optional.  Each individual will make their decision.  If you wish to continue to wear masks, that is fine, or if you do not feel it is necessary or you, that is fine also.  We encourage everyone to continue to practice handwashing and other actions we have all become accustomed to.  Our church will follow all of the cleaning practices that will keep our family safe.

We will continue to have Pastor Dave's messages on our website on the Worship Services tab.  We hope those who have viewed the messages on the website have been blessed.  Some of you prefer to stay away from crowds, others are homebound.  We want to meet the needs of those, for whatever reason, who prefer to watch the message on-line.  Some attend in person and also want to watch again on-line, which is wonderful.  We are grateful for the technology that provides this opportunity.

We thank those who have sent us your kind words and encouragement.

From Chris Folmsbee's The Wesley Prayer Challenge "The church does not have a mission; the mission has a Church."

We continue to respect and desire to follow John Wesley's three guiding principles ) Do No Harm, 2) Do Good, and 3) Attending upon all the ordinances of God simply put “Stay in Love with God."

Wesley's Covenant Prayer:  I am no longer my own, but thine.  Put me to what thou wilt, rank me with whom thou wilt.  Put me to doing, put me to suffering.  Let me be employed by thee or laid aside for thee, exalted for thee or brought low for thee.

Let me be full, let me be empty.  Let me have all things, let me have nothing.  I freely and heartily yield all things to thy pleasure and disposal.  And now, O glorious and blessed God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, thou art mine, and I am thine.  So be it.  And the covenant which I have made on earth, let it be ratified in heaven.  Amen.

WELCOMING YOU HOME

2 Chronicles 20:12 "For we have not power to face this vast army that is attacking us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are upon you."

This is a difficult time for all of us.  Between COVID-19 and all the things happening in our world, many are very confused, scared, and feeling very lonely.  For our current members and those that attend regularly, getting back together is a comfort and blessing. If at this point you are not comfortable attending, we hope Pastor Dave's message on our website will be an encouragement. For those who are just learning about us, we hope you find helpful information on this website. Take a little time to get to know us. Call us if you have questions or if you need someone to pray with.  Remember Deuteronomy 31:6 tells us "God will never leave you nor forsake you."  He is here, you are not alone.
