PASTOR DAVE'S MIDWEEK THOUGHTS
I would like to take the opportunity to wish each of you a very Happy Thanksgiving celebration. Some might say, "What's there to be thankful for with the COVID-19 pandemic and economic problems?" Remember, Thanksgiving Day was made an official holiday in the middle of the most bloodiest year of the American Civil War. Lincoln decreed the fourth Thursday of November would be an official American holiday for Thanksgiving. A few months earlier the Battle of Gettysburg had taken place with over 50,000 casualties. We can always find something to be thankful for if we look up to our God and not around at the world's circumstances. Let us all maintain an attitude of gratitude as we remember all the Lord has done for us over this past year. We are all still alive and kicking. Praise God!

MORE INFORMATION ON OUR WORSHIP SERVICE TAB
Praise God! Our services have gone great, about 45 people have attended each service. Everyone has followed the guidelines and it has been great being together. For those that have viewed Pastor Dave's messages on our website, we hope you have been blessed. We thank those who have sent us your kind words and encouragement. We will continue to have our in-person services and upload Pastor Dave's messages to our website. For any new comers to our site, due to COVID-19, we will be following CDC guidelines and guidance from the Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church. If you do plan to attend, we need to know so we can plan accordingly. If we have over 40 people, we may plan a second service. Everyone will be required to wear masks and maintain social distancing. If you do not have a face mask, we do provide masks, no charge of course. We meet in our Fellowship Hall to provide more space. If you are not able to attend, Pastor Dave's sermon will be available on this website under the Worship Services tab.
Please call our Church office at 386-684-6511 if you plan to attend this service and any services in the future while we are following the guidelines. Please go to our Worship Services tab for more information.
We are very excited about our in-person service, and also wish to keep everyone safe. John Wesley had three guiding principles that we are reminded of. 1) Do No Harm, 2) Do Good, and 3) Attending upon all the ordinances of God simply put “Stay in Love with God."
WELCOMING YOU HOME
2 Chronicles 20:12 "For we have not power to face this vast army that is attacking us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are upon you."
This is a difficult time for all of us. Between COVID-19 and all the things happening in our world, many are very confused, scared, and feeling very lonely. For our current members and those that attend regularly, getting back together is a comfort and blessing. If at this point you are not comfortable attending, we hope Pastor Dave's message on our website will be an encouragement. For those who are just learning about us, we hope you find helpful information on this website. Take a little time to get to know us. Call us if you have questions or if you need someone to pray with. Remember Deuteronomy 31:6 tells us "God will never leave you nor forsake you." He is here, you are not alone.
We have several ministries here at Interlachen to help serve our community and our church. There's something for everyone! Please take a look at some of our programs.
We hope you'll find one that interests you.
Our Sunday morning service begins at 9:30 a.m. Due to COVID-19, we do have some restrictions. Please read the additional information by clicking the "read more" below. For those who do not attend physically, we also have our sermon recorded and you can see Pastor Dave's sermon on our website.
