PASTOR DAVE'S MIDWEEK THOUGHTS

This coming Sunday, May 9, 2021, America celebrates Mother's Day.  On behalf of the First United Methodist Church of Interlachen, I would like to wish every mother, "HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!"  If you go to a restaurant be prepared for a crowd.  Where would we be without the tender, loving care of our mothers.  Moses' mother cared enough to hide him in a basket to preserve his life.  God went on to use Moses to deliver the entire nation of Israel.  Some mothers will never know the impact their child might have, especially in the Kingdom of God.   Paul attributed the faith of Timothy to his mother and grandmother.  Keep the faith and teach your children and grandchildren. Be blessed.  Pastor Dave

MORE INFORMATION ON OUR WORSHIP SERVICE TAB

Praise God!  Our services have gone great.  Everyone has followed the guidelines and it has been great being together.  For those that have viewed Pastor Dave's messages on our website, we hope you have been blessed.  We thank those who have sent us your kind words and encouragement.  We will continue to have our in-person services and upload Pastor Dave's messages to our website.  For any new comers to our site, due to COVID-19, we will be following CDC guidelines and guidance from the Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church.  If you do plan to attend, we need to know so we can plan accordingly.  Everyone will be required to wear masks and maintain social distancing. If you do not have a face mask, we do provide masks, no charge of course.  If you are not able to attend, Pastor Dave's sermon will be available on this website under the Worship Services tab.

Please call our Church office at 386-684-6511 if you plan to attend this service and any services in the future while we are following the guidelines.  Please go to our Worship Services tab for more information.

We are very excited about our in-person service, and also wish to keep everyone safe.  John Wesley had three guiding principles that we are reminded of.  1) Do No Harm, 2) Do Good, and 3) Attending upon all the ordinances of God simply put “Stay in Love with God."

WELCOMING YOU HOME

2 Chronicles 20:12 "For we have not power to face this vast army that is attacking us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are upon you."

This is a difficult time for all of us.  Between COVID-19 and all the things happening in our world, many are very confused, scared, and feeling very lonely.  For our current members and those that attend regularly, getting back together is a comfort and blessing. If at this point you are not comfortable attending, we hope Pastor Dave's message on our website will be an encouragement. For those who are just learning about us, we hope you find helpful information on this website. Take a little time to get to know us. Call us if you have questions or if you need someone to pray with.  Remember Deuteronomy 31:6 tells us "God will never leave you nor forsake you."  He is here, you are not alone.
