PASTOR DAVE'S THOUGHTS
Greetings in the name of Jesus

Happy Easter!!!
We have a brand-new church name, the "Interlachen Methodist Church." We are also in a brand-new denomination, "The Global Methodist Church." The Lord says in Revelation, "Behold, I make all things NEW!"

We attended our first Annual Conference of the Florida Conference of the Global Methodist Church on January 18-20th, 2024. The Conference was such a blessing and the Holy Spirit was definitely present. 68 men and women were Ordained as Deacons and Elders in the GMC. It is such a joy to look forward to a brand new fresh expression of Methodism. We have a strong belief in Scripture and want to return to a lot of the aspects of early Methodism. We want to worship passionately, love extravagantly, and share the Good News of the Gospel message.

Come join us in this exciting new adventure! I believe God has good plans for each one of us as we obediently follow His leading. Just as when it is cold, a person warms himself as close to the fire as he can get. Jesus said, "I have come that you might have life and have it more abundantly." Don't be the person who settles for something less and mediocrity. Follow the Savior to find the abundanat life He promises.

MORE INFORMATION ON OUR WORSHIP SERVICE TAB
If you attend our service in person and wish to continue to wear masks, that is fine. We encourage everyone to continue to practice handwashing and other actions we have all become accustomed to. Our church will follow all of the cleaning practices that will keep our family safe.

We will continue to have Pastor Dave's messages on our website on the Worship Services tab. We hope those who have viewed the messages on the website have been blessed. Some of you prefer to stay away from crowds, others are homebound. We want to meet the needs of those, for whatever reason, who prefer to watch the message on-line. Some attend in person and also want to watch again on-line, which is wonderful. We are grateful for the technology that provides this opportunity.
We thank those who have sent us your kind words and encouragement.
From Chris Folmsbee's The Wesley Prayer Challenge "The church does not have a mission; the mission has a Church."

We continue to respect and desire to follow John Wesley's three guiding principles ) Do No Harm, 2) Do Good, and 3) Attending upon all the ordinances of God simply put “Stay in Love with God."

Wesley's Covenant Prayer: I am no longer my own, but thine. Put me to what thou wilt, rank me with whom thou wilt. Put me to doing, put me to suffering. Let me be employed by thee or laid aside for thee, exalted for thee or brought low for thee.

Let me be full, let me be empty. Let me have all things, let me have nothing. I freely and heartily yield all things to thy pleasure and disposal. And now, O glorious and blessed God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, thou art mine, and I am thine. So be it. And the covenant which I have made on earth, let it be ratified in heaven. Amen.
WELCOMING YOU HOME
